Acceptable Use Policy

CATCH UP! is operated by Believe India LLC, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, United States.
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") establishes the rules governing how users, developers, organizations, and third parties may access and interact with CATCH UP!, catchup.website, and any associated products, services, APIs, infrastructure, data, or content (collectively, the "Platform").
The purpose of this policy is to protect:
- Users
- Platform integrity
- Security systems
- Trust and safety operations
- Privacy rights
- Service availability
Violations of this Policy may result in warnings, restrictions, suspension, termination, legal action, or referral to appropriate authorities.
1. Core Principle
CATCH UP! exists to facilitate genuine social coordination among trusted connections.
You may use the Platform only in ways that:
- Are lawful
- Respect user privacy
- Respect user consent
- Protect platform security
- Support legitimate use cases
Any activity that harms users, degrades the Platform, or interferes with normal operations is prohibited.
2. Unauthorized Access
You may not:
- Access accounts you do not own
- Attempt to bypass authentication systems
- Circumvent access controls
- Use stolen credentials
- Attempt account takeover
- Access restricted systems
- Access administrative interfaces
- Access internal tools
Examples include credential stuffing, password attacks, OTP interception, session hijacking, and authentication bypass attempts.
Any unauthorized access attempt may result in immediate termination.
3. Account Abuse
Users may not:
- Create fake accounts
- Operate large-scale account networks
- Create accounts for deceptive purposes
- Share accounts
- Sell accounts
- Purchase accounts
- Rent accounts
- Evade enforcement actions
We may suspend all associated accounts when ban evasion is detected.
4. Automated Access
Unless expressly authorized in writing, you may not:
- Operate bots
- Use automated scripts
- Deploy crawlers
- Deploy scrapers
- Use automated account creation tools
- Automate platform interactions
This prohibition applies regardless of whether the automation is commercial or personal.
5. Data Harvesting
You may not collect, aggregate, export, or build datasets from Platform information without authorization.
Prohibited activities include:
- Harvesting usernames
- Harvesting phone numbers
- Harvesting location information
- Harvesting friend relationships
- Building user databases
- Creating shadow profiles
- Selling collected information
Users remain owners of their personal information. The Platform is not a data source for commercial exploitation.
6. Scraping and Crawling
Unauthorized scraping is prohibited. Examples include browser automation, headless browsing, API simulation, bulk profile collection, and systematic data extraction.
We reserve the right to block requests, restrict access, and pursue legal remedies. Unauthorized scraping may violate applicable law.
7. Reverse Engineering
You may not:
- Reverse engineer systems
- Decompile software
- Analyze source code without permission
- Extract proprietary algorithms
- Replicate platform functionality
- Build competing services using Platform data
Except where explicitly permitted by applicable law.
8. Security Testing
Security research is welcome only through approved channels.
Without authorization, you may not:
- Conduct penetration testing
- Attempt vulnerability exploitation
- Perform denial-of-service testing
- Test authentication bypasses
- Probe infrastructure
Security issues should be reported through our Vulnerability Disclosure Program, described in the Security Policy.
9. Interference with Platform Operations
You may not interfere with the normal functioning of the Platform. Examples include:
- Excessive request volume
- Resource exhaustion
- Distributed denial-of-service attacks
- Infrastructure abuse
- Spam campaigns
- Coordinated disruption
We reserve the right to limit or terminate access immediately.
10. Malicious Software
You may not introduce malware, spyware, ransomware, trojans, worms, viruses, or malicious scripts, nor attempt to distribute harmful software through Platform features.
11. Fraudulent Activity
The Platform may not be used for:
- Financial scams
- Investment fraud
- Romance scams
- Impersonation schemes
- Identity theft
- Payment fraud
- Cryptocurrency fraud
- Social engineering attacks
We actively investigate reports of fraud.
12. Spam and Manipulation
Users may not:
- Send mass invitations
- Send unsolicited promotions
- Operate engagement farms
- Manipulate discovery systems
- Artificially inflate visibility
- Coordinate fake activity
The Platform is intended for authentic social coordination.
13. Misuse of Availability Signals
CATCH UP!'s availability features are intended for legitimate coordination.
Users may not:
- Broadcast misleading availability
- Create deceptive travel plans
- Use availability signals to harass others
- Use broadcasts to monitor individuals
- Abuse city discovery features
Any attempt to weaponize social coordination features may result in enforcement action.
14. Privacy Violations
Users may not:
- Publish private information
- Reveal personal information without consent
- Share phone numbers without authorization
- Share travel plans of others
- Share private location information
Privacy violations are treated as serious offenses.
15. Circumvention
You may not circumvent safety controls, rate limits, access restrictions, enforcement systems, or technical safeguards.
This includes attempts through alternate accounts, VPN abuse, device manipulation, and infrastructure manipulation.
16. Artificial Intelligence Misuse
Users may not use the Platform to:
- Build unauthorized AI training datasets
- Train surveillance systems
- Train identity-matching systems
- Create behavioral profiling systems
- Generate targeted harassment campaigns
CATCH UP! user information may not be used to train external models without authorization.
17. Commercial Exploitation
Without written permission, users may not:
- Resell Platform access
- License Platform data
- Create derivative commercial datasets
- Operate marketplaces using Platform information
- Use Platform data for lead generation
The Platform is not intended as a commercial prospecting tool.
18. Child Safety Violations
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Child exploitation
- Grooming
- CSAM
- Child trafficking
- Sexualized interactions involving minors
Violations may result in immediate account termination, reporting to authorities, preservation of evidence, and cooperation with investigations.
19. International Compliance
Users must comply with applicable laws, sanctions regulations, export control laws, and data protection requirements.
The Platform may not be used in ways that violate applicable legal obligations.
20. Enforcement
CATCH UP! may take any action necessary to protect users and the Platform.
Informal actions: warnings, notices, educational interventions.
Technical actions: rate limits, feature restrictions, visibility limitations.
Account actions: suspension, termination, device blocking, phone number blocking.
Legal actions: civil claims, injunctive relief, regulatory cooperation, law enforcement referrals.
We may act without prior notice when necessary.
21. Reporting Violations
Potential violations may be reported to security@catchup.website or safety@catchup.website.
Reports should include:
- Description of conduct
- Evidence
- Relevant dates
- Relevant usernames
We investigate reports at our discretion.
22. Changes to This Policy
We may modify this Acceptable Use Policy periodically. Continued use of the Platform following updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
