CATCH UP!

Documentation

How CATCH UP! works, what we do with your information, and how to stay safe when you meet in person. Maintained by Believe India LLC.

Safety Center

Effective 3 August 2026

CATCH UP! is operated by Believe India LLC, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, United States.

Safety at CATCH UP!

CATCH UP! was built to help friends reconnect, coordinate, and spend more time together in the real world.

Unlike many social platforms, the ultimate goal of CATCH UP! is not engagement, views, or screen time. The goal is simple: less coordination, more connection.

Because CATCH UP! facilitates real-world interactions, safety must be everyone's responsibility.

This Safety Center explains:

  • How to stay safe
  • How to use CATCH UP! responsibly
  • How to report concerns
  • What CATCH UP! does and does not do
  • What to do if something goes wrong

Our Safety Philosophy

We believe:

  • Privacy should be user-controlled.
  • Location sharing should be intentional.
  • Availability sharing should expire.
  • Users should control who sees them.
  • Real-world meetings should happen on the user's terms.

CATCH UP! is a coordination platform, not a supervision platform. We help people discover opportunities to connect. We do not monitor, manage, supervise, or verify those interactions.

What CATCH UP! Does Not Do

It is important to understand our limitations. CATCH UP! does not:

  • Verify identity
  • Verify age
  • Conduct background checks
  • Conduct criminal checks
  • Verify employment
  • Verify education
  • Verify reputation
  • Guarantee safety
  • Guarantee user conduct
  • Guarantee meeting outcomes

Phone number verification only confirms access to a phone number. It does not confirm a person's identity.

Before You Meet Someone

Whether reconnecting with an old friend or meeting someone you have not seen in years, ask yourself:

  • Do I know this person?
  • Am I comfortable meeting them?
  • Have I informed someone I trust?
  • Is the meeting location appropriate?
  • Am I comfortable leaving if needed?

If anything feels wrong, do not proceed. Trust your instincts.

Meet in Public

For first meetings or unfamiliar situations, choose coffee shops, restaurants, public parks, public venues, or business districts.

Avoid private residences, isolated locations, remote areas, and unfamiliar locations late at night.

Public places create additional safety layers.

Arrange Your Own Transportation

Whenever possible, drive yourself, use trusted transportation, and maintain control over your travel plans.

Avoid situations where you become dependent on someone else for transportation or are unable to leave independently.

Tell Someone

Before meeting, tell a trusted person where you are going, who you are meeting, and when you expect to return.

Consider sharing your meeting location, meeting time, and transportation plans.

Safety Check-Ins

CATCH UP! may provide optional safety check-in features. These tools are designed to help users remember planned meetups, confirm they arrived safely, and confirm they returned safely.

Safety check-ins are informational tools only. They are not emergency services, monitoring systems, or guarantees of safety.

Alcohol and Substances

Exercise caution whenever alcohol is involved, drugs are involved, or judgment may be impaired. Impaired decision-making increases risk.

Always maintain the ability to make independent decisions, leave safely, and contact trusted individuals.

Travel Safety

CATCH UP! supports travel planning and city-based discovery.

When traveling, consider local laws, local customs, transportation availability, and personal security considerations.

Avoid sharing overly detailed itineraries publicly, broadcasting hotel information, sharing room numbers, or revealing sensitive travel details.

Protect Your Location

Location information should be shared carefully. Cities may reveal travel patterns, broadcasts may reveal routines, and travel plans may reveal future availability.

Only share what is necessary. Ask yourself whether you would be comfortable if this information were seen by everyone you selected. If not, do not share it.

Spotting Scams

Scammers exist on nearly every platform. Warning signs include:

  • Urgent requests: "I need money immediately." "This is an emergency."
  • Financial requests: wire transfers, cryptocurrency payments, gift cards, unusual payment methods
  • Pressure: attempts to create urgency, attempts to isolate you, requests for secrecy
  • Inconsistencies: conflicting stories, fake credentials, suspicious travel claims

When in doubt, stop and verify independently.

Impersonation

Be cautious when users claim to be public figures, executives, government officials, celebrities, or investors.

CATCH UP! does not verify these claims. Do not rely solely on profile information.

Online Safety

Protect your account:

  • Secure your device
  • Keep software updated
  • Protect access to your phone
  • Do not share verification codes

Never provide OTP codes, authentication codes, or security credentials to another person. CATCH UP! employees will never request these codes.

Harassment and Stalking

CATCH UP! has zero tolerance for harassment, threats, intimidation, stalking, and doxxing.

You should immediately report repeated unwanted contact, threatening behavior, monitoring behavior, and attempts to circumvent blocks.

Blocking Users

Users may block others at any time. Blocking may restrict visibility, prevent interactions, and limit discovery.

You are not required to explain why you block someone.

Reporting Users

Report behavior that makes you feel unsafe, threatened, harassed, targeted, or deceived — including fraud, impersonation, harassment, stalking, and child safety concerns.

Reports help us protect the community.

Emergencies

If you believe someone is in immediate danger, a crime is occurring, or medical assistance is needed, contact local emergency services immediately.

CATCH UP! is not an emergency service. CATCH UP! cannot dispatch emergency responders. CATCH UP! should never be relied upon in emergency situations.

Child Safety

We maintain zero tolerance for child exploitation, grooming, child trafficking, and child sexual abuse material.

Report concerns immediately to childsafety@catchup.website. Emergency child-safety concerns may be escalated to appropriate authorities.

Identity Verification

Identity verification is not required to use CATCH UP!. You can create a profile, go live, make plans and send catch-up requests without submitting a selfie. Our safety team may still ask an account for a selfie check where there is a specific concern — most often a doubt about whether the account holder is 18 or older.

Where a selfie is reviewed, it is stored privately, is never shown to other users, and is deleted once a decision has been recorded. We keep only the outcome of the review. If a reviewer cannot reasonably conclude that an account holder is 18 or older, the account is suspended pending appeal to safety@catchup.website.

Verification confirms that a real adult submitted a photo. It is not a background check, and it does not verify identity documents, criminal history, employment, or intentions. A Verified badge is not a safety guarantee.

Conversations Happen Inside CATCH UP!

Once both people accept a catch-up, a private one-to-one thread opens inside CATCH UP!. Phone numbers are never shared, and there is no external chat step.

When you report a message sent in one of these threads, we can review the thread itself. If a conversation moves off CATCH UP! — to a phone number, another app, or in person — we have no visibility into it, and we are working from your account of what happened.

Because of that:

  • Please keep screenshots of anything abusive before you delete a chat or block someone.
  • Include dates, times, and the handle in your report so we can match it to on-platform activity.
  • We can still act on off-platform reports — including suspension — based on a risk assessment, but we may not be able to reach a definitive conclusion about what was said.
  • For threats, harassment campaigns, or anything criminal, report to local law enforcement as well as to us. They can compel evidence that we cannot.

Blocking someone on CATCH UP! closes your threads with them in both directions. It cannot undo anything they already saved or screenshotted.

What Happens After a Report

Our Trust & Safety team may review evidence, request additional information, restrict accounts, suspend accounts, or permanently remove accounts.

We review reports using a risk-based approach. Not all reports result in enforcement. However, every report helps improve platform safety.

Shared Responsibility

Safety on CATCH UP! is a partnership.

We commit to:

  • Building privacy controls
  • Providing reporting tools
  • Investigating abuse
  • Enforcing our policies
  • Continuously improving safety

Users commit to:

  • Respecting others
  • Using good judgment
  • Protecting personal information
  • Reporting concerns
  • Taking responsibility for real-world decisions

Important Reminder

CATCH UP! helps people discover opportunities to connect. It does not guarantee identity, intentions, conduct, safety, or compatibility.

Users remain responsible for evaluating the people they choose to interact with online and offline.
