Law Enforcement Request Guidelines

These Guidelines explain how CATCH UP! responds to lawful requests from government agencies, law enforcement agencies, and courts.
1. General Principles
CATCH UP! seeks to:
- Protect user privacy
- Comply with applicable law
- Preserve user trust
- Support legitimate investigations
2. Required Legal Process
Requests should include appropriate legal authority. Examples may include court orders, warrants, subpoenas, and statutory requests.
CATCH UP! reviews all requests for legal sufficiency.
3. Emergency Requests
Emergency requests involving imminent danger, serious bodily harm, child exploitation, or threats to life may be processed without ordinary legal process where permitted by law.
4. Preservation Requests
CATCH UP! may preserve information pending legal process. Preservation does not guarantee disclosure.
5. User Notification
Where legally permitted, CATCH UP! may notify affected users before disclosure.
Notification may be delayed or withheld when legally prohibited, when safety concerns exist, or when investigations could be compromised.
6. Child Safety Matters
CATCH UP! may cooperate with child protection agencies, law enforcement agencies, and courts in matters involving child exploitation or abuse.
7. International Requests
Requests from foreign authorities may require additional review.

CATCH UP! intends to publish periodic transparency reports regarding government requests where legally permissible.
